Hi, Today I met up with some of East Boston finest. They were with the people who love them most. Thier families. It was wonderful to see them with their husbands, and daughters. To see them relaxed and having fun together. I was with my own family and yes it feels good, to enjoy yourself on a Sunday with those you love. These young families, choose to live and raise thier wonderful families in Eastie. They are without a doubt, some of Eastie's best. Let me introduce them to you. I think you will agree with me. Becky and John Lynds, with thier beautiful daughter. Amy (from APAC) with her husband and her beautiful daughter, and Wendy, (YMCA) with her beautiful daughter and friends. Thank you to a few of Eastie's spirits for making Eastie the home of thier choice. Martin Coughlin, Anna DeFronzo, George DeLorenzo, And to thier grandparents, and parents who made Eastie thier home. This is what is good, what is right, what is decent about East Boston. Thank You, Becky, John, Amy, Wendy. You made my day. Fran

I am an East Boston Resident who cares about East Boston and it's growth. I look forward to having an East Boston blog that actually is about that and not about someone's agenda. I would also liked to be known as one person who doesn't mind thanking Joe Mason and the Land Use Council in a public forum. I know him to be a kind person who has the best of East Boston in mind and one of the rare people to stand up for the little guy. I am an example of a 'little guy' as an abutter in the proposed 'Seville on the Harbor' building that The Lombardo Companies is planning to build. Anybody who has attended the last 2 public meetings that The Lombardo Companies held knows who I am as it is my building that is pictured on the art rendering being surrounded by the new proposed building. I am an East Boston resident for over 20 years and all the developers on this building project are not residents at all. I would welcome anybody and everybody's support to help protect me from becoming a victim in The Lombardo Companies proposed building project. Please understand that I am not against new development in East Boston, as a matter of fact if it helps the community at large, it's a good thing. I just feel that no East Boston residents, me or anybody else, should not be victimized in that process.

Hello
Nice to see a blog that is going to be all about East Boston.

Joe I only met you once about a year ago when my parents were going to the board of appeals.

Without your help and support of the land use council I do not think we could of done it.

I was amazed that although certain people who should support us did not. That you had no problem speaking against the grain.

May I suggest a few topics as I tried to post before but I think I lost it.
1-How about a full list of all emergency numbers ,as well as a detailed list of all of the elected officials from the govenor down to our city councilor.
If you do it ,it would be nice to have the email, phone, and fax numbers, along with the mailing info.
2- I was on www.cityofboston.gov recently and saw the top ten list of the worst green ticket offenders in all of Boston.Meaning the top 10 who owe the most money.

One of the people is a huge property owner in East Boston but does not live here.

I know you said no negative stuff, and I do not think this is,and I hope you post this.

Altogether all of the green tickets not paid are estimated to be 3 million dollars. So why doesn't the city collect?

Thanks,and Best of Luck !

Hello Cosmo
First Thanks for the comments.

Second,I am working on just such a list, and hope to have it posted by the end of the weekend.

However although I did verify your claim about the top ten worst offenders. Before I can put that list up ,I would need to confirm that the City information is up to date.

Mt experience has been that they are always behind in updating thier website, and I do not want to post inaccurate information.

I hope you understand.
